JOB TITLE: Business Development Representative

Reports To: Sales Support Manager

Summary:

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for providing customer assistance with product quotes and application requests and addressing customer questions and concerns surrounding UNEX solutions. Other responsibilities include:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists customers with application requests and pricing utilizing our quoting software, ERP, and CRM systems.
  • Enters new sales leads (phone calls, emails, etc.) and sales opportunities into our CRM system for processing.
  • Partners with the Regional Sales Managers to support and nurture the sales pipeline, as well as support our distributor network.
  • Follows up on existing leads and opportunities in the sales funnel.
  • Works with our Engineering and Manufacturing teams on all special requests.
  • Provides UNEX distributor network with freight quotes, job and shipment information.
  • Follows up regularly with sales leads and UNEX distributor partners to ensure customers have received the requested information, including quotes.

ATTENDANCE:

Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years Business Development experience.
  • Prior experience within the material handling or shelving and racking sales a plus.

OTHER SKILL, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· Excellent Customer Service / Organizational Skills

· Work experiences with CAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point

· Ability and willingness to educate and speak to large groups in person and via WebEx. Great communication skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Internet Software; Manufacturing Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Inventory Software; Order Processing Systems; Project Management Software; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Presentation software (PowerPoint); and Publisher software.
